Every target instant adds +1/+1 counters. Just about every creature has heroic triggers that add +1/+1 counters. Throw in Hardened Scales and we've got a lot of big things. This deck is a controlled experiment in communal growth. The Tuskgaurd Captain give all creatures with +1/+1 counters trample so it's pretty fierce and fast. Most of the heroics have other effects too. Sage of Hours has extra turns. Favored Hoplite gets damage prevention. The Battlewise Hoplite let's me scry. Every time I place a +1/+1 counter when one or more Hardened scales are out it will add those extra +1/+1 counters to my targeted creature. For instance: If I have a Sage of Hours out and one Hardened scales and I play Nature's Ponopoly on the Sage the heroic triggers first and I put one +1/+1 counter on it plus one more on it for Hardened Scales. Then when the spell resolves I add the +1/+1 counter from the spell effect plus one from Hardened Scales.
