Dearest Citizens of Theros,
Mogis sends his regards.
The theme of this deck is simple:
Get as many Minotaurs onto the battlefield as possible, buffing them up as much as possible.
Cards like Felhide Petrifier, Kragma Warcaller, and Rageblood Shaman give great effects ontop of stat boosts, and with all 3 out, your Minotaurs get haste, trample, and deathtouch, a nasty combination for anyone to face, with Ragemonger making it even easier to drop them out quickly and efficiently. Kragma Butcher is a strong hitter, getting +2/+0 every time it untaps, making it potentially your heaviest hitter. Deathbellow Raider is a strong two drop, and its regenerate ability is good when you feel backed into a corner. Gnarled Scarhide is a fantastic 1 drop, potentially a 0 drop if you have Ragemonger out, who, while lacking blocking, fits in right at home in this heavily offensive deck. Generator Servant's ability to sacrifice it for 2 colorless mana can help you get more minotaurs out a little earlier than you hoped and even quicker than your opponent would like. Twinflame comes in handy, especially when used on Kragma Warcaller, as the clone retains K.W's +2/+0 ability, and if you have enough mana and 2 K.Ws, it can be a game ender. Whip of Erebos adds onto the list of already impressive effects by giving lifelink, ensuring your life never drops too low, and its secondary effect of letting you pull Minotaurs from the grave, if for even a turn, can be a life saver. Magma Jet, Temple of Malice, and Read the Bones are great for making sure you won't have to wait too long to get the minotaur you need, and Hero's Downfall stops anything that might be getting in the way of your bloodsoaked victory. And the great god himself, Mogis, joins the fray with an impressive 7/5 for a 4 drop, and you'll have no problem getting the devotion you need for him early in the game, with the addition of his -2 or sacrifice a creature ability putting your opponent into a worse situation than they were already in.
Use the mighty power of minotaurs to trample your opponent into the ground and burn their homes to ash. It's violent, it's destructive, it's a hell of a good time when you're in control of a minotaur army.
