Capable of consistent turn 2/3 wins without disruption. Able to power through disruption with recursion and draw capability. Very consistent mana base.

Turn 2 Kills

Turn 1: City of Brass, Nivmagus elemental Turn 2: cast 4 free phyrexian mana spells exiling all of them for Nivmagus' ability taking him to 9 power, attack with Nivmagus, if no blockers are declared cast Tainted strike for the win!
Turn 1: Mountain, Nivmagus elemental Turn 2: City of Brass, cast 2 free phyrexian mana spells exiling them for Nivmagus' ability taking him to 5 power, cast Assault Strobe, attack with Nivmagus, if no blockers are declared cast Tainted strike for the win!

Turn 3 kills (Many, many scenarios)

Turn 1: Mountain, Nivmagus elemental Turn 2: Gemstone mine, Kiln fiend. Attack for 1 with NE. Turn 3: Cast a free phyrexian mana spell (exile to NE if you want, but this is a great time for Gitaxian probe), cast Ground rift (copy 1) and target opposing creatures, cast Assault strobe/Tainted strike on Kiln fiend, Attack for the win!

Apostle's blessing can be saved to protect your creature or to get damage through. Don't forget its ability to protect against artifacts! Faithless looting is great at digging for what you want. I wish it netted a card, but being red it fits with the mana base. Noxious revival can put a card, usually Nivmagus from your graveyard back on top of your library or if you know your opponent is needing to draw a kill spell, put that fetch land back on top of their library.

The sideboard has 2 strategies. 1) Add 4x Monastery Swiftspear and take out 2x Gut shot, 1x Faithless looting and 1x Assault Strobe to help combat fast tempo/combo decks. This provides another target for removal and can be a heavy hitter too. 2) Splash blue. All this really does is slow things down for the deck, but it makes for pretty consistent turn 4/5 kills. You just have to make sure you survive that long. I generally use the sideboard as a mental strategy - meaning I make it appear I am bringing in stuff, just to swap 2x Noxious revival for 2x Gutshot or something.

I'm really on the fence with using Surgical extraction to help against Snapcaster mage. I just find myself never resolving spells often enough to warrant the exchange. A mage - bolt is handled by any free phyrexian mana spell exiled to Nivmagus. But exiling all of the bolts is very tempting.
