To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
Vorel is the primary engine of the deck, accelerating everything's growth dramatically. Untappers and repeatable proliferate effects allow Vorel to be applied both wide and tall. Laboratory Maniac was originally included as a pet card, but has quickly become an all-star, as Prime Speaker Zegana, Otherworld Atlas, Blue Sun's Zenith and other cards allow the deck to quickly empty into it's hand. There are 2 (accidental) infinite combo's in the deck, but they are unlikely to occur often: Vorel + Sage of Hours + Forgotten Ancient w/ 10+ counters = infinite turns, and Kiora's Follower's with a +1/+1/ counter and Experiment Kraj out (with either one wearing Illusionsist's Bracers) = infinite untaps of any permanent(s).
Edit: Another combo involving Heroes' Bane, Sage of Hours and Experiment Kraj. With a counter on the first two, tapping Kraj for a counter on himself, and then paying 2GG each turn generates infinite turns, and for another 2GG, 2 turns can be taken at a time instead.
All Stars of the Deck:
Thousand-Year Elixir: Allows instant tapping, as well as a VERY well-costed untap effect. A+ untapper, probably only beaten by Kiora's Follower (which works even better with Elixir out) or Kiora, Master of the Depths, whose + ability can get a free Vorel activation with Vorel and Simic Growth Chamber out. A large amount of the time, Kiora will more than pay for herself the turn she comes down, and will attract removal for awhile. Her ult is almost never really worth it, but her tutor can also be quite useful.
Chalice + Cornucopia: Even when cast for 1-2, these usually get to about 16-32 counters before they get removed. Even better with Thrummingbird out.
Otherworld Atlas: Mill yourself and everyone down to your Lab Man, or Realm Seekers. Play land AFTER, in case you draw Reliquary Tower!
Illusionist's Bracers: Things get real crazy, real fast if this thing stays out, even for a short time. Super fun with Djinn of Wishes.
Fertilid: With Vorel on the field, ramp like a madman at EoT, and politic yourself some allies: Fertilid can fetch lands for TARGET player!
Plaxcaster Frogling: This little guy does major work. Gets counters on creatures that normally wouldn't enter with them, so Vorel and Proliferate can go to work, AND protects him and any of his buddies. Major pain for the rest of the board to deal with, essentially Asceticism #2 (though obviously not as powerful on its own, it is a lot easier for your opponents to forget about until it actually matters...)
Prophet of Kruphix: RIP you glorious bastard. You burned so bright, and banned so hard.
Lurking Predators: Only nonbos with Hangarback, and it is worth it to play both in a 99-card list. Predators can generate insane value in a multiplayer game, either with a free pseudo-scry effect, or by giving you free creatures to play with. 90% of the time, you want to put your non-creatures on the bottom, unless you absolutely NEED the card, or if its nearing the end of the player-just-before-you's turn. Otherwise, leaving a noncreature card on the top of your deck is just a waste of every other spell cast (which in a multiplayer EDH game, is a LOT).
