Trying to build casual decks that are cheap and simple for teaching purposes. This is the first one, it's a simple mono black control / devotion deck that uses almost no rares. It has many of black's mechanics and a cool devotion / #swamps engine in the late game.

strategy: midrange / control
main plan: underworld connections + removal -> grey merchant and corrupt to win
side plan: beatdown with random shriekmaws and gatekeepers
cool stuff that can happen: ever after two gray merchants
maybeboard explanation: 4 mana lilliana fits here really well, I don't know if she's worth buying for this project or if she's overbearing vs more casual decks though.

The goal of these decks isn't to be insanely strong or insanely weak, simply to have relatively straightforward decks with lots of 4 ofs for new players to try. I want these to be like an intro deck to the game that isn't insultingly bad. I want them to showcase colours strengths and weaknesses as well as not be overbearing. I also want to include some powerful 1-ofs to showcase some cool moments. Also they need to be modern legal.
