[Note: For the sake of simplicity, both instants and sorcery spells will be referred to as Instants from here on out.]

The most important objective of this deck is to deal cheap and reusable sources of damage to opponents and creatures via instants to overwhelm your opponent(s) and reduce their life total to zero before they have a significant chance to retaliate. The strength of this deck lies in the massive amount of damage that can potentially be done by a single instant. Most cards in this deck increase the effectivness of instants in one way or another.

Be aware, however, that this decks strength can also be its weakness. Through much playtesting, Ive found that when facing off against more than one opponent, this deck becomes harder and harder to pull off. You could say this is the case with every deck in a multiple-oppoent game, but for this deck, it couldn't be more true. Why? If played well, this deck should be working at its best by turn 6 or 7. Its a late-game deck, so to speak, in the sense that by turn 7, you should have enough instant-boosting card mechanics on the board to essentially deal a game winning blow. That isnt to say that this deck doesnt work well in earlier turns. It does, in fact, work very well to set you up for a big win. But this becomes obvious to your opponents what will, more often than not, name you public enemy number #1. What this deck has offensively, it loses in defense. There are no real large creatures to defend on the ground, nor any real beefy flying creatures. Every creature, just about, has an important mechanic to boost instant spells, thus making almost every card you put out a huge threat to other players. It is not uncommon to find myself constantly having my creatures removed from the board or my hand discarded, in an effort for my opponents to disarm me. As flattering as that is, it’s also very annoying. This isnt always the case though. Most decks commonly revolve around creature offensives to win games. This can be to your advantage at times since opponents tend to make tactical decisions based on whats already on the board. If all your opponents essentially have a large creature base, theyre more likely to focus on eachother and leave you alone. Of course, in this case, its very important for you to stick to defense for most of the game, until youre ready to take everyone out in one blow.

What could count as the most important card in this deck is Soulfire Grand Master. If you're able to keep her on the board by the time you start casting instants, it can be very easy to start having constant life gain with every damage you deal. This is supposed to help absorb the attacks you'll no doubt be receiving from your opponent's creatures, since you'll most likely never want to sacrifice your creatures for a block. This should ultimately buy you enough time to defeat your opponent(s) without having to attack with your creatures at all. A few other important cards to notice is Guttersnipe, who is just generally valuable against multiple opponents, and Charmbreaker Devils, which allows you to reuse instants every turn when Soulfire Grand Master's mana ability can't be used. Vexing Devil is especially valuable in early gameplay as he can provide excellent defense against creatures, buying you time, but is also effective if opponents make you sacrifice him, since he does 4 free damage outright, making it potentially easier to take your opponents out more quickly. Swan Song has also been thrown in as a very effective and cheap means of keeping your best permanents on the battlefield. This is more of a gamble and less effective against multiple opponents, but has still saved my ass on more than one occasion. Even without them, I highly recommend putting some kind of countering spell in this deck to keep your early game safe. Exquisite Firecraft and Fiery Confluence are what make this deck so effective. Theyre relatively cheap for what they provide, Fiery Confluence being an easy game-ender with the right card mechanics on the battlefield.
