[Standard] R/G Land Fall

R/G Land Fall

Watching SCG Indianapolis Open made me love zendikar even more. I really feel it will make standard play just that much better. One of the decks besides 5-color bring to light that caught my attention. R/G LandFall. 4 of these decks were being played and with one only making 37th place. I felt maybe I could come up with a faster aggro version with the same landfall tactic. If you haven't seen any of my posts or seen my Tom Ross Modern Post. You should know I'm a bug Tom Ross playing style fan. Be fast and be aggressive. So My take on R/G LandFall is such. Play one drop creatures and play them fast.

Scythe Leopard is my go to guy. One mana 1/1 with land fall. Turn two if played right he could be a 3/3 hit to the face. Makindi Sliderunner is decent; with 2/1 it could be a 4/1 on turn three. I added Monastery Swiftspear in because it to me. Is a must in all red decks for the current meta game. Especially if you are trying to be fast. Now I wanted 20 creatures, but most to be one drops. Looking at all my cards. I think Frenzied Goblin and Dragonmaster Outcast did just fine. Goblin to allow big hits and stop annoying Siege Rhinos from blocks and Dragonmaster Outcast for a midgame 5/5 flyer.

For spells I thought about Boss sleigh and what Tom Ross was thinking when building it. Pump and advantage.

Of Course Atarka's Command would be in this deck. No explaining needed. The other spells needed to grab me lands or pump my creatures. I really love Titan Strength. Allows me to pump and get a little peek. I Believed I could make Become Immense work so I added 2. For a really big swing. Swell Growth Helps with landfall. Tormenting Voice for draws. Now Animist's Awakening Is pretty much another big pump in a way and a way to make sure I don't draw nothing but lands the next turns to come. Collected Company will help me rush the board presents faster.

For the side Board I went creature kill heavy and added little things I thought would help. I like FlameShadow Conjuring for kill spell heavy decks. Jaddi Offshoot for burn. Retreat for pump and another added Frenzied Goblin Affect. Trumpet Blast another big pump. Molten Vortex for when I have a annoying land heavy hand and have nothing else to do.

So really that is it. If you have any other great ideas or comments let me know. Constructed criticism is welcome. *Not on my spelling though XD
