[Standard] See the Atarkamog

See the Atarkamog

After the last rotation I was trying to figure out a deck I could make using Eldrazi because I pulled 2 Ulamogs from packs. There wasn't a whole lot out there that I liked as far as pure Eldrazi decks go but I found a green ramp deck that was at least a start.

I used to run a See the Unwritten RG deck to write out Atarka and hopefully a Polukranos or other now cycled out big green dudes, so I wanted to make a deck w/ that in it.

This is just a prototype right now and I took it to FNM and had one bad round but went 3-1 sweeping every opponent in the other matches and consistently seeing or hard casting Atarka out by turn 4 or 5. I thought the ramp would be slower with the set but it's still pretty fast.

As far as strategery goes you want to have rampy dudes early and preferrably a see or atarka in hand. If you don't but have Undergrowth that works too. UC is pretty legit by himself especially if you can ramp him out turn 3 then play your land to immediately give him some stickiness. I really like him for a Woodland Bellower buddy and he really shines with Nissa's Renewal and Explosive Veggies. A couple games he just got away from the opponent and I got him up to about +8 counters or so.

I was kind of iffy on the Hedron Archive thinking spending 4 mana for 2 colorless later would be too expensive but that card I could see being great in this standard, and late game it's great for card draw when you no longer need the extra mana.

So some threats to this deck that I've faced so far is the control decks which were harder match ups before too. The aggressive red decks I didn't get to face unfortunately but thats what I put in the feed the Clan and Heir of the Wilds for. Yasova 1 of in the deck and 2 in the sideboard help get around chump blockers if you have a rattleclaw out for the blue mana but she also gets ferocious triggers for See the Unwritten.

Whisperwood I think I might move to my sideboard for the control decks and aggro decks as it hasn't done much as a main board and I think having 2 extra Undergrowth Champions would be a good side in. I might take out the Yasova also and throw in a couple Woodland Wanderers.

I'm definitely open to suggestions, especially in the sideboard because I'm terrible at keeping up with the meta from month to month and being able to anticipate what to expect.

Thanks for checking out the deck!
