The thing about Rakdos is that his effect lessens the cost of creatures ONLY. Their costs are decreased by the damage that you deal WITH your burn spells. But i do like the
deathbringer thoctar you added, that was actually pretty smart. If you add some goblin makers to this deck and started offing your own tokens using
fling,
launch party, and maybe even
bone splinters then you can have a serious damage deck on your hands. The trick with the deathbringer is that you want to make sure that the creatures IT kills have only 1 toughness, that way it keeps the +1/+1 counter from it dying. If you use your goblins for your kill spells as a sacrifice requirement then it'll be easier to make this process happen and you can
deal damage as you do so. Also if you add
slate street ruffian and
carnage gladiator then you can have a serious card combo going. If they block
slate street ruffian then they lose a card and lose some health, if they don't block then they also lose a lot more health. If you're going to play
rakdos, lord of riots then make it as painful and as uncomfortable as possible. Also if you add
morgue burst then you can bring back any
dead creature from your graveyard back to your hand AND
deal damage. Then you can play that creature for less mana. For instance; If you played
morgue burst while rakdos was on the field and then returned
slate street ruffian then your opponent would take two damage and you'd only have to pay 1 black mana to summon it.Talking about getting your mana's worth.
