Cheaters!!

Recently among my friends we found out that a couple of them have been putting multiple cards in their card protectors!!!

How would you guys deal with this / how would you punish them?  Also consider that you have played with them for over 3 years and not a lot of people in the area play this game.

We are shaking our fist at them and unsure how to continue playing.   

NOTE: We asked them to remove all their card protectors to continue playing... but when you have 100 dollar cards.. no one wants to take them off.

Make them sleeve them up in front of everyone before shuffling up. It's the only way you can ensure they aren't continuing to do the same thing without them playing without sleeves.

As for punishing them, I'd suggest they start with a lower life total for so long or that damage done to them is doubled (or conversely damage they do is cut in half), though not sure they'd go for that.

Simple, final warning and cheating isn't tolerated. Anybody caught cheating won't be allowed to play with you guys ever again.
This is tough but fair. Remember it includes all, cheating is from here on in, it isn't accepted or tolerated

thats actually a Great Idea...   

Could have them tape the tops (so the card can be removed later if necessary)

I just looked up tamper proof tape... its cheap.  Going to run this idea by the group.

Or you introduce a new rule, play hands on the table, otherwise you discard your hand.

I like that too... but since then none of us have let our hands go anywhere out of sight... (buddy caught cheating hasn't shown up to play with us yet.. too embarassed)... hehe
