Hello Sailor! Fancy a Grim Time?
Any suggestions or feedback welcomed!
This deck is all about commander damage!
Untap Grimgrin by sac'ing a creature or use the artifacts or eqpt, the use various permanents to make him hexproof or shroud and unblockable, then it's whacking time!
Sac fodder or sac fodder providers:
*
Reassembling Skeleton
*
Abhorrent Overlord
*
Bloodline Keeper
*
Cemetery Reaper
*
Grave Titan
*
Ogre Slumlord
*
Summoning Station
Untap effects:
*
Puppet Strings
*
Fatestitcher
(can also be sac'd, unearthed and used again 'til end of turn)
*
Jandor's saddlebags
*
Sword of the Paruns
*
Umbral Mantle
There are a few cards in the deck which are a bit weak (
Jandor's Saddlebags
,
Bounty Hunter
) but until I get something better, they'll have to do.
Mimic Vat
would be useful along with some creatures that have "come into play" or "leave play" effects, again
Wurmcoil Engine
springs to mind.
Pros:
Awesome commander damage when it's running, good creature removal.
Cons:
Poor against Artifact / Enchantment rich decks; can be slow to assemble the the bits you need.
Oddity (I always try to put one in each deck):
It's got to be
Vanishing
- what funnier way can there be to deal with a rival Commander than making them phase out of play?
Sideboard:
It's not a sideboard - it's a wishlist!
