Help in Deck Building
« on: January 31, 2015, 03:36:18 pm »
Hello, i have some friends that are new to MTG, they are having a bit of problems building treir decks and we want to know if there is a web, an app or a software that can automatically build a deck only based on the card that we have.

That way we can learn the best way to find the balance and synergy of a deck.

Hello.

So I looked, and there does not appear to be a site or anything that can just build a deck.

I would suggest going to Magic online forums and look up the card you want to build around, to see if any suggestions already exist, and to ask around.

I also suggest looking into the article on how to build a deck. It should be helpful to your friends. http://magic.wizards.com/en/game-info/gameplay/how-to-build-a-deck

If your friends need any help, you may massage me and I will help as best as I can.
Symmetrical effects are fair.

MTG Goldfish is working on a tool like that but it is a paid service. http://www.mtggoldfish.com/superbrew

Have you introduced your friends to the rule of 9 and mana curve?

http://www.gatheringmagic.com/magic-the-classroom-the-rule-of-nine/

9 playsets of cards and 24 lands make a 60 card deck.

A deck that curves out can win just on that basis some of the time. I would recommend starting mono colored as well.

60 Cards, play first

9 at one, 8 at two, 8 at three (One added here to make 60 cards), 11 at four, 24 Land.

60 cards, draw first

8 at one, 7 at two, 6 at three, 5 at four, 9 at five, 25 Land.
