Obscuring Æther = Free morph?
« on: March 28, 2015, 11:34:37 am »
Obscuring Æther
Card Text:
Face-down creature spells you cast cost 1 less to cast.
1 + Green: Turn Obscuring Æther face down. (It becomes a 2/2 creature.)

So I have a question about this card from Dragons of Tarkir. Does this mean that if I have three of these, I can just place cards face-down? Or does it only work for the cost so that you can flip it?

Thanks!  ;D

I think it would stack that way because there is nowhere in the rules for morph that says you CAN'T cast a morph for 0."

Also the reminder text says "You may cast this face down as a 2/2 creature for . Turn it face up any time for its morph cost.

You can read more on it here at the wiki but sounds like that's a thing and might be a cool idea for a standard or EDH deck.
