It's all about playing small, but efficient threats, backed with the some of the most efficient removal modern has to offer.

Kird Ape and Loam Lion are 1/1s for 1, but that never happens and are consistently 2/3s. This is very powerful as playing these on turn one, and then beating in every turn for 2 is strong. Wild Nacatl is extremely powerful, and is a 3/3 for 1 every time it is played. It's one of Magic's greatest one drops, and it was so good, that it was banned for a while. Experiment One is similar to Wild Nacatl, except we have to work a bit harder to get, but everything in the deck minus the Qasali Pridmage and the Goblin Guides evolve it at least twice. Speaking of Goblin Guide, having a 2/2 haster for 1 is insanely powerful. lastly we have Qasali Pridemage, which has exalted meaning it pumps our attacker. Attacking with a 4/4 Wild Nacatl on turn 2, after our opponent shocked themselves, is gonna be hard to come back from. Also, it reads "1, Sacrifice to counter Splinter Twin" which is very useful.

Our non-creature spells are equally as efficient: Path to Exile allows us to remove any creatures that get to big for our burn, namely Siege Rhino. Lightning Bolt is an obvious inclusion, as it Lightning Helix, which allows us to gain life. Boros Charm allows us to save our creatures from an abrupt decay or a maelstrom pulse, and also allows us to mega bolt, or close out a game much quicker than normal with double strike.
