Take some time out of your day to place yourself in my shoes.

You are minding your own Business, little stoned and enjoying your chill evening all locked up in isolation.

You receive a message about SplitSecond, that channel that uploaded a sans-blue Sidar Kondo "cEDH" deck in the past. You see this time one of them decided to top the last installment and make Decoy Otrimi, The Ever-Playful with Gyruda, Doom of Depths as the Companion. In cEDH. The deck seemed to want to loop clones with Gyruda out. This seemed however, shit, making you run a lot of sub-par cards because of the Gyruda Companion Restriction. This is without accounting for the many bad 4cmc clones cluttering the slots like a plague.

The list was confusing and pretty subpar and I was trying to figure out why I felt offended. It was because that pile of jank was at a cEDH Table. I was shocked to be honest. The lack of 1 CMC spells really hurt the deck and Otrimi did absolutely nothing for the deck at all! (Sorry it recurred 2 mutate cards and pumped alter ego?) This isn't cEDH to me at all.

So I have remade the decks concept in the highest power I could. You will notice many cards are the same. The main change was the commander and if you look at the title. I have not put cEDH. This is because I believe this deck cannot perform at a good cEDH pod. Its interaction is far too limiting without 1 CMC so I would instead remove the "consult" package (without consult I know) and make it another sultai value deck.

If you REALLY wanna play Gyruda at a cEDH table with a slim chance to win, just park him in the command zone and play shit dimir consult with a 10 mana win line from Vampiric Tutor or Imperial Seal with your commander... Not this bad failed Hermit Druid Attempt.

I tried to be funnier for this one. But making this deck to prove a point wasn't even worth the spite I invested to fuel it. The entire time I was thinking "This will never be good, stop trying to make it cEDH please" but if I made a list like that the point would be lost I think.

So here. Even CMC Tribal at "cEDH".

Don't play it.

You will lose!
