Ever have that boss who asks you to come in on Saturday- "that would be great, um kay." Well now you know the inspiration behind this deck. Many will be asked to exert themselves, yet few, if everything goes according to plan, will ever spend that extra turn tapped, free to be exerted again and again to your benefit. All thanks to the boss, you, the Cartouche Douche.

This deck relies on two core strategies; using the combination of playing the Trial of Solidarity enchantment, giving all creatures +2/+1 and Vigilance for the turn, and then bringing the Trial back to your hand via play of a Cartouche of Zeal or Solidarity. Key to the City allows you to make creatures unblockable, and Cartouche of Zeal + Ahn Crop Crasher make sure opponents creatures can't block in the first place. Fan Bearer is a fantastic one-cost Zombie that allows you to tap other creatures and is a 1/2 on its own.

The real power of this deck comes from the ability of almost all creature cards to exert themselves when attacking, giving everyone huge bonuses if the right creatures are present. Normally using exert would cause creatures to remained tapped during your next untap phase- but if you can play Trial of Solidarity, and give all creatures vigilance, then they can utilize their exert ability without ever becoming tapped. This ability really shines when the Trueheart Twins are out, giving your creatures +1/+0 for each one using exert, or Resolute Survivors, which damage opponents 1 and give you 1 life for each exert, or Vizier of the True, who allows you to tap a target creature for each exert. Devoted Crop-Mate allows you to bring back creatures of converted cost of 2 or less when they exert, allowing you to bring back creatures who died or were discarded away via Key to the City use. (Oketra's Avenger, Nef-Crop Entangler, Honored Crop-Captain, etc.)

Not a lot of control, but the idea is to create super waves of attackers that never tap and, mostly, come back easily if they die via Devoted Crop-Mate. Control comes from one source- the Angel of Sanctions . The idea is to have either unblockables or tap all opponents creatures anyway...

Mana is totally variable, but beyond basic Mountains/Plains I went with Wind-Scarred Crag to gain life, and Boros Garrison to give overall mana boost. Inspiring Vantage is 100% not required, but totally good if you can swing the cost.

Just a fun deck I put together because I had access to Amonkhet and Hour of Devastation cards.
