To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
This deck encapsulates perfectly the way I most enjoy playing MtG. The idea is to use relatively quick accumulation of mana to burst with the help of Omnath, who's usually out turn 2. Best case, he stays out and builds mana. Worst case, he takes a dive from removal, but that's one less removal in their hand and the rest of the deck is also big scary creatures.
I have changed it slightly over the years, moving away from tokens and towards big scary threats, and mana sinks. I have left in Wolfbriar Elemental and Ant Queen since they make nice sinks and create chump blockers if I need them, though I'm a bit torn on Verdant Force and Verdant Embrace. The fact that they give me a chump blocker on each opponent's turn is rather nice. I was also reconsidering Reverent Hunter, but since he easily comes out as a 10/10 for 3... I'm just not sure. With Khalni Hydra out (who usually comes in for free, incidentally!) he's already a 9/9 off the bat.
And Managorger Hydra is an absolute beast! he grew from a 1/1 to a 10/10 faster than I thought possible.
The last few games, since adding a couple smaller creatures like Managorger Hydra and the enchantments Wilderness Reclamation and Vernal Bloom, I've been winning games with only 6-7 lands out. Mostly through commander damage, but there's not much they can do when you end up drawing 10 -12 with Fruit of the first tree and draw into an Overrun, or even better an Overwhelming Stampede. And once I put in Pathbreaker Ibex, I'll have a stampede on an attack trigger. That's just nuts!
