Thriller (Vintage)

Thriller is a reanimator deck that focuses on quick, near impossible to avoid brute force to win battles.

The optimal strategy would be to drop a Dark Ritual and Buried Alive on turn one to place three of the colored creatures (I'd suggest Reya Dawnbringer, Blazing Archon, and either Maelstrom Archangle or Iona myself) into the graveyard. Then on turn two, utilize one of the several two-drop reanimators (Animate Dead/Dance of the Dead) to bring back Reya, and use her to bring back the others.

If this strategy fails, however, the deck is intended both for quick and brutal victory, and battle through attrition. The combination of Hell's Caretaker, Netter Shadow, Recurring Nightmare, and Reya Dawnbringer all but ensures you can bring out any creature you want infinitely.

Sacrificing a Netter Shadow to Hell's Caretaker to bring back Reya for instance, nets you potentially two creatures next round (Reya brings back a creature, and a Netter Shadow may come back if three creatures are above it - and with four Shadows, they can self-return).

If all else fails, you can refrain from animating creatures, or sacrifice good creatures to bring lesser ones into the fray (sac Reya to Recurring Nightmares to bring back, say, a Drudge Skeleton or Black Knight) to set up for Living Death, which can potentially end a game the turn it's played.
