Enigma Gutter Mage

The core of this deck is the Core 2019 Guttersnipe along with the Enigma Drake, reaping serious air power from all spent spells. Soul-Scar Mage is just a fantastic 1-drop whose Prowess ability definitely benefits from the copious amount of spells in this deck, and turns our non-combat damage into -1/-1 counters--perfect for any Indestructible threats or just big bodies in general.

On the blue side: Search for Azcanta, Glimmer of Genius, Memorial to Genius, and Opt help the deck move quickly and Disallow, Essence Scatter, Negate, and Syncopate provide plenty of counters/control.

On the red side, the staple play-sets of Lightning Strikes and Shocks are in, as is Sweltering Suns for crowd-control (Enigma can already withstand its cast, and if another spell is cast beforehand, Soul-Scar can handle it too; no dice for Guttersnipe, but Suns is aiming to board wipe anyway) or can be cycled for card draw. Chandra is the best to bolster the deck's mechanics by either top decking a spell for us to cast, or mimicking Snipe if we don't, or giving us the mana to cast another spell, or otherwise just being a great asset/target.

Sideboard has Abrades for Artifacts or more Damage, Alpine Moon and Field of Ruin for non-basic hate, Banefire for an unavoidable finisher, another Chandra for good measure, and Extra Dissalow and Negate for more control.

Happy Sniping!
