To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
Artifact Combo or Aggro deck, depending on how you want to play it out.
Being budget, it's more of an aggro deck, rather than a consistent combo machine.
Most combo center around Ashnod's Altar or KCI to cast artifacts essentially for free with the Thopter created from Sai's ability.
Clock of Omens fits very well with most combos, or just to generate a lot of mana with Gilded Lotus or Thran Dynamo.
All combos assume Sai is in play.
Spine of Ish Sah combos easily with Thran or Lotus, KCI and Clock of Omens.
Cast Spine of Ish Sah, create a thopter, untap Thran Dynamo with Clock of Omens, sacrifice Spine and Thopter to KCI, tap Thran and the 4 floating colorless to cast Spine again.
Some combos are missing because Sensei's Divining Top is an expensive card, but there are still potential combos with Trading Post.
For example, you can generate an infinite amount of colorless mana or storm for Aetherflux Reservoir with it. And a few more cards. It's not perfect, But working with the budget these are the combo options we have.
Trading Post + Ornithopter (or any artifact 1 cmc or less) + KCI/Ashnod + Clock of Omens
Cast Ornithopter, create a Thopter token.
Tap both to Clock to untap Trading post, holding priority, sac Ornithopter to KCI.
Tap Trading post with the mana, sac the other thopter to return Ornithopter to hand. Clock resolves, untapping Trading Post. You're left with 1 colorless floating and Ornithopter in hand to do it again.
Classic combo, easiest to assemble: Myr Retriever and Junk Diver with KCI/Ashnod in play.
Self explanatory, loop Myr and Diver infinitely for mana and thopters.
Whenever you have infinite colorless mana, all you need is an outlet for it. Skullclamp does a good job if you have the thopters to sac to it. Just draw enough into Aetherflux and win.
Using Sai's second ability is tough unless you have Gilded Lotus or Springleaf Drum or Silver Myr in play, so you also have access to blue mana.
Sadly I lost Mycosynth Lattice to the budget, but that's a great filter for blue mana.
Hangarback Walker and Walking Ballista are both cards this deck wants. Budget doesnt allow for it though, but first upgrade has to be Hangarback Walker. It enables a lot of combos easier, always netting 4 mana with KCI/Ashnod in play. Easy infinite with Trading Post and Clock of Omens. Walking Ballista has the benefit of also killing the opponent if you need it.
I've considered Laboratory Maniac in this deck, but when you're already drawing most of your deck, all you need is Aetherflux. Lab Man is a handy back up though, could be a good include.
