3-0 with an assertive GW deck. p1p1 once upon a time into lucky clover. i was looking to be green blue; got 2 queen of ice and a merfolk secretkeeper in p1. but by the end of the pack, it was crystal clear that white was wide, wide open. even still i wasn't sure if i would play white, but the card quality (and the good removal) got me across the finish line.
round 1 vs drew on RG beatdown. both games my cheap removal counteracted his best cards, and i curved out along the way. syr alin did work in both games; the snake also wrecked in game 1, getting the 2.5 for 1 when drew double blocked and played an adventure combat trick that got on alert'ed right out.
round 2 vs peter on UG midrange. he beat me game 2 with double so tiny to neutralize my cheap cards, and then just landing fat dudes. but in the other 2 games i curved out hard and never stopped attacking. game 1 featured the lucky clover doing some doubling up of tricks for good measure.
lombardi on UB midrange in the finals. i rolled him 2 games; the first he missed land 5, and so while he was able to play stuff, i don't think he landed his most powerful cards. again, i played some strategic removal and landed a bunch of my best threats, trading off littler stuff and then finishing the way with the griffin and the green paladin. his mull to 5 in game 2 left him mana flooded, and i kept a flawless 7 with tokens and syr alin and removal and everything a boy could dream of.
fun games!
