finishing this cube season with a joy of a deck to play. UW control with mill and hullbreaker horror as the primary win-cons, and with lots of cards and board wipes.
m1 against GW monsters/ramp. they were a slow version of that deck, which plays right into this deck's skills. counters and wraths for days kept them far off from their plans.
m2 against boros. they were more value than straight aggro with some planeswalkers and cards like showdown of the skalds. g1 they dealt some damage, but i milled very quickly and had enough cheap blockers to keep them off my back. g2 their start was very slow, and they missed some land drops. the cards flowed for me, and a boardwipe and hullbreaker horror sealed the deal.
m3 against UR spells, another deck leaning assertive. again, wiping their board cleared the way for tutelage to take care of business on them. the red creature land was a bit tricky, and they had commit // memory in their graveyard, but i had enough counters to make sure they couldn't get out of it. g2 they brought in jace as the anti-mill tech, but my plan had no mill. instead i built up defenses, played the horror, then cloned it with glass pool mimic. in a turn, their board was no more, and i smashed in to take them down.
so much fun to play!
