"I add +1/+1 counters to everything"

My first commander deck. Started out as the 2016 Atraxa pre-con and I’ve been steadily swapping out cards and upgrading it over the years. Keeping true to the original theme of the 2016 pre-con, I have kept the deck strictly about +1/+1 counters.
Ever since I started playing MTG back in 2013, I have been in love with swinging BIG stompy creatures at my friends. This deck is an attempt to capture that feeling. Overall this deck sits in the well tuned catagory of power.

Let's talk about our commander, Atraxa, Praetors' Voice. She is a powerhouse, the key that really gets the deck's engine running. I love commanders who act as an engine piece for a deck and she is the whole package.

  • A 4/4 for 4
  • Evasion built into the card
  • The prime target to put your +1/+1 counters on
  • Generates more counters every turn

The lifelink is just a cherry on top of the icing on the cake. The only thing that she doesn't do is put that initial +1/+1 counter on a creature, But that's ok, we have other cards to do that for us.

02/19/2023:

The set Phyrexia: All Will Be One just released, I am adding in the cards that I got from drafting and doing some minor tweaks. I removed the few clone spells that I had. Sadly, even though I liked them, they ended up being dead cards most of the time unless I had Enduring Scalelord out, then they just infinite combo-ed.

Cathars' Crusade Abzan Beastmaster
