The price of salt.

There are a lot of cool, cruel, and punishing stax related cards that exist and most are seldom played nor liked.

Besides causing tremendous grief and salt with your opponents, the next biggest gripe is the lack of viable win cons a stax deck would usually have.

This deck contains 7 win cons minimum. The not so apparent one is Aetherflux Reservoir + Sydri, Galvanic Genius ( turn the reservoir into a creature, give it life link, shoot each opponent to death as long as you have 50 life). Can also combo isochron sceptre + dramatic reversal + Aetherflux Reservoir to gain infinite life then shoot each opponent to death.

The deck runs a tremendously low amount of lands; hence, the player must maximize the London Mulligan rule in order to start with a hand that can produce 3 Mana (a combination of lands and low cmc Mana rocks). This can be tuned according to your preference - simply remove stax cards to accommodate more land cards.

The deck has a relatively low cmc curve with most cards falling into the 2 and 3 cmc categories - you can thank WOTC for making stax so efficient.

If you choose to play this deck, be sure to use proper judgement as this deck won't win you any friends. If your meta allows stax, be sure to only use hard locks such as stasis only when you can secure a win - throwing it out on turn two will simply make you unwanted - be a responsible player.

Paradox Engine is banned but IDGAF nor does my meta. Ask your meta before you use it, worst case replace it with another stax card. Paradox Engine alone will not win you any games, but with it on the board at the right time it can be devastating.

Although this deck is not CEDH level, I would consider it a focused deck. Don't play this deck against new players nor against pre cons.

This deck is also built so that your opponents can indeed defeat it if they have the right answers, with Artifact wipe being the most negatively impacting to your board state.

Best to establish pillow fort / defense and Mana ramp + soft locks (aven mindcensor, narset, grand arbiter) before advancing to medium locks (storage matrix, fate spinner) and hard locks (winter orb, static orb, stasis). There are a handful of stax artifacts that can be deactivated before your upkeep via tapping them using other artifacts you control, use this to make the stax asymmetric.
