Thantis - Battle Tribal (EDH / Commander)

I wanted to make a new deck from MOM that featured as many battles as I could. After deliberation I selected Thantis to be my Commander

I recognize that in 9.9/10 times I’ll be attacking my own battles to flip them over, but at least with Thantis, most of my opponents blockers will usually be tapped from being forced to attack, which gives me a little more option of where to direct my attacks.

I featured a broad group of creatures with vigilance to protect myself with, as well as specific deterrents that make attacking me less attractive.

I like that most of the battles offer card advantage or removal on the front face, so that “if” I decide to defeat them, the benefit is all upside. I honestly don’t remember what happens on the back of many of them, I literally just put all of the Jund colored battles in* just to see what would happen.

*after a few games I whittled down a few, but generally I’m playing all of them.
