A Pioneer deck utilizing a variety of demons, dragons, and angels to deliver crushing blows to your opponent's life, while also being able to take up a defensive role if such is needed. The deck is held together by the powerful suite of removal that Mardu colors offer, along with the namesake card, Kaalia, Zenith Seeker. The former allows the deck to exert a greater degree of control over the opponent while it is setting up its threats, and the latter provides solid, semi-consistent card draw. The deck also has a sacrifice subtheme, with cards such as Chandra, Acolyte of Flame and Seraph of the Scales drawing out the full power of Eradicator Valkyrie, Immersturm Predator, and the grand Butcher of the Horde.

The sideboard provides a well-rounded toolkit fit to combat many different decks. Three copies of Soul-Guide Lantern are my preferred choice of graveyard hate, with the card's low cost, powerful effect, and usefulness even if multiple copies are drawn. The two copies of Necromentia can be sided in versus combo decks or any deck with otherwise challenging to take care of bombs, greatly increasing your chances of winning on a successful resolution. Settle the Wreckage provides a one-sided board wipe against decks which would otherwise overrun the deck's meager early defense. Crackling Doom and Anguished Unmaking both provide additional removal should it be needed, with the latter's versatility being well-appreciated. Three copies of Thoughtseize provide easy, efficient disruption, while Chandra, Awakened Inferno is hard to deal with and oft spells doom for your opponent if she stays on the field for more than a turn. Side her in if you need a little extra help versus control or other slower decks.

This deck is the culmination of multiple weeks of deckbuilding work and playtesting, producing something that I am proud to post and share. It's not perfect, but with time it can and will be improved further. Feel free to throw suggestions and questions in the comments.

Notes:
-23 and 24 lands is definitely too little, and adds too much inconsistency when the curve of the deck trends up like this, 25 lands seems like the sweet spot so far.
-While I would like to cut Ammit Eternal or Kolaghan, doing so has historically decreased the success rate of Kaalia etbs by a rate I'm not comfortable with.
-All I want to do is put 3 Thoughtseizes in the maindeck, but I haven't found much luck in finding cuts to do so. I think I'll try a version of the deck where I cut Ammit, Kolaghan, and one Seraph of the Scales in favor of Thoughtseizes, replacing the seizes in the SB with Fatal Pushes. I'll get back here with the results soon enough. We'll just have to disregard the above dash and see how Kaalia performs with 3 less things to hit.
-Not sure how I feel about the three Anguished Unmakings. They were my attempt at compressing artifact/enchantment and creature removal into 3 sideboard slots, but it doesn't feel right, especially with the life loss. I think I'll opt for two or three Utter Ends instead, making some numbers adjustments along the way.
