To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
Urza's quickly shot up to one of my all-time favorite cards, thanks in part to his incredible abilities and exciting applications with artifacts.
There's a few fun combos here that can win you the game pretty quickly. Once Urza and/or Thopter Foundry is in play, you can do quite a bit.
The classic Thopter Foundry + Sword of the Meek combo allows you to go infinite with Urza in play, getting you infinite life, infinite mana, and infinite thopter tokens.
Additionally, you can also cast cards off of the top of your library with Urza's secondary ability. With enough mana, you can go through enough of your deck to get exactly what you need.
Goblin Engineer works as an excellent "tutor" that helps get Sword of the Meek into your graveyard; the ideal position to place it in for setting up the combo.
Teferi stops our opponents from interrupting our combos, and can pull back an artifact we need in a pinch. With some of our sideboarded cards like Thoughtsieze, we can surprise our opponents by taking a card from their hand at the right moment.
You can bring in Spine of Ish Sah to continually blow up problematic permanents like Stony Silence, Rest in Peace, and even planeswalkers. After you're done, sacrifice it to the Foundry/Goblin Engineer and let it go back to your hand. Rinse and repeat!
The sideboard helps us deal with a variety of decks, most notably decks that run fast creatures like Infect, Burn, or Humans. We can use Dead of Winter for removing creatures easily. For big mana decks like Tron, Amulet Titan, or Scapeshift, Damping Sphere is very effective. Leyline of the Void takes care of graveyard-based strategies like Dredge or Hogaak; a turn 0 Leyline can often delay them enough for a win. Finally, Tezzeret can use all of the artifacts on the field and use his ult for lethal damage.
