Introduction
Hey! This is a primer for an EDH deck with Sliver Queen as the commander. This is hardly a sliver tribal deck - there are only six slivers besides our commander. Our focus is on noncombat damage, dealt to both our opponents and their creatures, as well as to ourselves (hopefully not too much) and our creatures. We are running lots of cards that can dish out some good, healthy damage, and a few creatures that like to get roughed up a bit, as is their God-given right. A secondary focus is on repeatable effects. Secondary not because they are less powerful, which they ain't, but because they can be less splashy. In short, we aim to outvalue and stifle our opponents with flexible, reusable effects / removal, until we either win through combat or damage to face - probably both.
Why Play
This is not a one-trick pony. We want to win, but not in the same way every game. To that end - there are no tutors, there are no infinite combos. Those kinds of cards would certainly make the deck stronger, and are likely the first change to make for someone who is interested in that. As is, it is strong enough to win, but it might take some flexibility and restraint. We are playing plenty of effects that will damage and inevitably destroy our own creatures in addition to our opponents'. Deciding if to play creatures, whether to try and protect them, and when to burn it all down is why you play.
Individual Cards
Creatures
Ulvenwald Tracker: Cheap, targeted damage. Can be used by itself to take out a small creature, but requires another creature with more power / toughness to become repeatable and really have an impact. Our commander is a 7/7 and can take most in a fight, unlike that one guy at the bar. Can also be used to ram your own creatures into each other.
