To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
We all like dogs. This deck is about playing showing your opponent your dedication for the canine species in a rather more efficient way than wolves would.
If we're talking about how this mardu aggro deck can work it's all about tempo to maximize damage. Some turns can go as followed.
Turn 1 Banehound. Solid starter, opponent loses 1 hp you win 1 with a hasty dog.
Turn 2 Pack leader. This makes banehound tougher. Opponent loses 2 hp you win 2. (Opponent, if everything is fine, is sitting at 17 HP)
Turn 3 Bolt Hound. Here you go nuts. If your opponent has no board pressence you win turn 4. if he does however... Bolt Hound gives Banehound and Pack Leader +1/+0, while Pack Leader prevents combat damage to dogs you control. That's a solid 9 Damage. (Opponent is left with 8 HP). with these 3 on their own you can apply a lot of pressure.
Turn 4 is your endgame. You can go for another Bolt Hound, Glorious Anthem, Unbreakable Formation and even have a selfless savior make an appearance to show you have your board under control.
Other Options I liked are Alpine Houndmaster because it gives you 2 puppers, while they're not game winning being able to thin your deck with cards supported by the tribe is okay, and Pack Leader makes both Alpine Watchdog and Igneous Cur, otherwise weak cards, more viable 2drops.
I added Sorin, Solemn Visitor because of a 2015 abzan aggro deck showcase that utilized him. While not gamebreaking he does help putting pressure and allowing you to stay in the game in case of a boardwipe while also giving evasive creatures thanks to his -2.
Landwise the only remarcable mention is animal Sanctuary and Fabled passage. Aggro Decks struggle later in the game when they have mana but nothing to use. Animal Sanctuary makes something beefier (Igneous Cur can also get beefier on it's own, but buffing it makes an otherwise plain bad card a bit more reliable), while fabled passage is a clear mana fix since we're playing 3 colors.
For the sideboard I added graveyard hate, aggro hate, more removals and a big finisher with Underworld Cerberus, another card that helps against control by getting value out of it were it to die. Kunoros also helps as graveyard hate and as a midrange threat.
