To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
Based on original idea "Beat the Clock" by Pat McCallum for Inquest Magazine #3 (#4, July 1995, p.23)
Original Description: "The pure, cold sensation of terror. The kind that worms its way into you belly and loosens your bowels.
"It's great fun. Especially when it's your opponent's bowels that are a-loosenin'. And that's what this deck is all about. Aside from the essentials that almost every deck needs- creature elimination, artifact destruction, and the rest- this unpleasant 60-card bad boy revolves around the cards with delayed effects. Instead of the strategy and subterfuge that go into most Magic games, your evil schemes will be laid bare for the world to see.
"And that's the point. Your opponent will know what you're up to, but with the amount of headache cards you'll be spreading across the tabletop, it'll be one of the few instances where knowledge can be a bad thing."
Original decklist: 16 cards from Legends and Fallen Empires that count down, with the intent to divide your opponent's attention (and your own if you're not careful). This is supported by the afformentioned removal, and dual lands. It looked decent, if expensive.
This decklist: Originally wanted to drive home the theme of "Beating the Clock". After realizing that using mainly suspended effects was slow and inefficient, I said screw it: it's a Living End deck, plain and simple.
Ardent Plea and The Dragon-Kami Reborn are your shortcuts to cast that forbidden spell. Removal comes in many forms: Curse of the Cabal (as your unremovable Braids equivalent) and Out of Time (which also keeps your enemy's blockers from reviving via the End), Forsake the Worldly, and Generous Gift (also handy for shattering a loaded Dragon-Kami's Egg)
As a backup win condition, Approach of the Second Sun is there if your library is thin enough.
