Budget For Fun Modern Deck based on Counters:
Almost every spell benefits from the presence of Winding Constrictor by gaining two counters at a time:

• Experiment One grows faster and can be regenerated immediately
• Strangleroot Geist return from the graveyard as a 4/3 putting pressure in the board
• Treefolk Harbinger doesn't have counters but can "fetch" Faeburrow Elder or can fix mana searching Murmuring Bosk.
• Malefic Scythe enters the battlefield with two soul counters on it
• Oran-Rief, the Vastwood pump your creatures to increase pressure

Light of Hope protects against aggressive opponents contributes to the counter combo.
Since you cast a lot of big creatures (also pumped with Malefic Scythe) there are not many removals: Lignify interacts with Murmuring Bosk while transforming your opponent's threats, Retribution of the Ancients can be used as a removal but it's designed to interact mainly with Strangleroot Geist.
Ephemerate triggers Experiment One by blinking other creatures, resets Strangleroot Geist if it already has counters and can eventually increase Faeburrow Elder power and thoughtness at the right time.
Last, The Birth of Meletis lie outside the strategy but can be helpfull against more aggressive opponents.
