Made as a Base Template for a more Casually-Focus-Oriented Sliver Overlord Deck, with some emphasis on stealing creatures by changing Creature Types into Slivers by using the Commander's second ability.

Firstly, you would want to use abilities that change creature types of creatures into Slivers, or giving them every creature type. The card combo of Bazaar Trader/Harmless Offering & Hivestone is extremely effective for doing this, though admittedly inconsistent. This makes Tutor Cards & Slivers such as Hollowhead Sliver very important for obtaining your Non-Sliver Cards. Fortunately, Sliver Overlord can search for Slivers, making your ability to Loot w/ Hollowhead Sliver very consistent.

Mana-Gaining Abilities are essential for turning Sliver Overlord's Sliver Control Ability into a win condition, making Dramatic Reversal (and other cards like it) very essential, as you would also be able to use the Stolen "Sliver" Creature for Mana yourself at the same time (assuming it does not have Summoning Sickness or is not already tapped) by Tapping for Green from Manaweft Sliver which is fairly consistent to attain due to Sliver Overlord's Search ability. Having this Sliver + Ashnod's Altar + your Commander + cards like Standardize in your hand can let you go Infinite in Stealing as many Creatures as your opponents control to effectively Boardwipe opponents of their creatures. Hivestone is Heavily Utilized in this strategy due to the Political Power you would be holding on the player owning the Hivestone, putting that player under your control; In other words, putting them under your "Hivemind Control". Just make sure you don't have Ward Sliver w/o Ghostflame Sliver, nor Basal Sliver on your field, otherwise this will become impossible to do, as protection would prevent you targeting enemy "Slivers", while Basal Sliver would let opponents sacrifice their own "Slivers" for mana, letting them gain a Mana Advantage while preventing you from stealing their creatures.

Some things Important to consider when judging this deck:

  • This was made with much more budgeting in mind, therefore it is definitely not the most optimized it can be. If you want to be more Optimized, it can very easily slot in the Go-To Infinite Ashnod's Alter Combo using Sliver Queen, Training Grounds, etc. I am choosing not to, as I want to cut costs, as well as not wanting to create an Overly Strong Deck that my Playgroup will not want to deal with.

  • Due to the need to focus on finding methods of utilizing the 2nd ability, there are a fair bit of Tutor Cards searching for cards like Hivestone & cards to let you give Hivestone to opponents, as well as Creature-Type-Changing Cards. While using Hollowhead Sliver & Opaline Sliver is decent, the latter can be situational and not always trigger (if ever), while Hollowhead Sliver can be slow and cause you to lose resources trying to find the needed cards for this. In the event this occurs with Hollowhead Sliver, Echo of Eons and Dregscape Sliver are used to mitigate resource loss, as well as being a decent counter to Mill & Decks utilizing graveyards.

  • Giving Creatures the Sliver Creature Type is very dangerous to do when you run Sliver Cards that have the "All Slivers" effect type compared to the "Sliver Creatures you Control" effect, due to effectively giving your opponent's creature(s) all of your Tribal-Boosting effects generated by your Slivers when resolving. This is why I am not running cards such as Crystalline Sliver, Necrotic Sliver, and Sedge Sliver, and opted for cards like Glaring Spotlight & Ghostflame Sliver. Crystalline Sliver's Shroud would prevent the use of Sliver Overlord's Second Ability, while other effects like Hexproof, Colored Protection (Ward Sliver), Sacrifice Effects (Basal Sliver), Artifact Destruction Targeting Hivestone (Harmonic Sliver), and Self-Tapping Effects (Telekinetic Sliver & Gemhide Sliver) can very easily shut down this strategy on their own; something most Sliver Decks would otherwise not have nearly as much issue doing. I am only running the "All Slivers" Cards that can be worked around to prevent them from going against this strategy, such as using Ghostflame Sliver to Bypass the Color Protection Ward Sliver gives to opponent's creatures, and Basal Sliver, which can sacrifice itself + other slivers prematurely before initiating the stealing tactic.

  • Spirit Mirror can be used as a Destruction Ability, potentially even a Board Wipe if combined with cards like Standardize, making it an unsuspecting form of removal if drastic measures must be taken.
