Selesnya Pentacolor Aggro
aka. 2/1 tribal.
>Gameplan
This deck runs on a pretty simple gameplan. Play some multicolor one- or two-drops and pump them fast and by a lot with Glass of the Guildpact and, more importantly, Knight of New Alara, which turns our 1/1s into 3/3s and our triple color-two drops into 6/5s. Thats pretty effective, I must say.
Beaters
We run a wide arsenal of beaters, most importantly Bant Sureblade and Naya Hushblade. They pump themselves already by +1/+1 and Knight of New Alara will pump them for an additional +3/+3, resulting in a +4/+4 pump, turning them into 6/5. 6/5 at T4 is already pretty good by itself, but gets even better with our multicolor one-drops, as we can spam them on the turns prior, until T4 when they too become good beaters as we play Knight of New Alara. For the one-drops we play Dryad Militant which basically shuts off Snapcaster Mage and Death's Shadow's delve stuff. Judge's Familiar saves us from boardwipes (and Knight of New Alara from being Bolted) and is evasive with flying. We run Tattermunge Maniac, as it provides two power for one mana. Knight of Autumn provides a lot of utility but can also just act as a beater.
Payoffs
For the payoffs we run Glass of the Guildpact, an extremely cheap 2 mana anthem for all of our creatures. The center piece of the deck is Knight of New Alara, representing at least a +2/+2 anthem for all of our creatures.
Control
To kill the opponent's threats or blockers, we play Path to Exile for the best removal in the format.
Manabase
We play 24 lands. For the budget selesnya mana-base we play Fortified Village, Sunpetal Grove and a bunch of basics. 24 lands might seem like a bit much, but I want to draw 4 lands until T4 for Knight of New Alara.
>Sideboard
Tron:
Against tron we play Ghost Qarter. I don't want to run it main-deck though, mana would be awkward, as our dual-lands require basics to come into play untapped.
Dredge:
When playing against dredge, we will swap out Path to Exile for Grafdigger's Cage, in addition to our previous graveyard-hate with Dryad Militant.
Burn:
When playing against burn, we will not sideboard. We rely on our Knight of Autumn for lifegain.
Heliod Company:
Against heliod company we play Solemniy, to shut down their Heliod, Sun-Crowned + Spike Feeder combo.
>Budget
The deck is as budget as it gets for a two (or five) color-deck, costing about 50€ on cardmarket.
