The gameplan of the deck is rather straightforward:
1) Spam the small bois
2) Make them unblockable
3) Draw with Subira
4) Rinse and repeat until everyone`s dead

From my experience, this deck really needs to be low to the ground in terms of CMC as possible, hence there aren`t any flashy big spells. The only cards that are somewhat big are those that allow us to close out the game in quick succession.

Notable includes:

  • Mob rule: a functional Insurrection that costs 2 less, which is a huge deal for this deck. Sure, you wont take all the creatures, but oftentimes opponents boards tend to be either very chunky or very wide and small, so you will be able to adjust, take their blockers and swing in for the win.
  • Dolmen gate: MVP of this deck. Basically allows to you to not spend on Subira`s first ability and propel the game even better.
  • Fury of the Horde: the only extra combat that is in this deck since its free. Nuff said.
  • Berserkers' Onslaught: a functional extra combat spell that allows you to invest into it beforehand AND be useful more than once.

Notable excludes:

  • Aggravated assault: dumping a big chunk of mana into an extra combat step, when we already spend a good amount of mana to make the bois unblockable, is pretty inefficient. You`re most likely to draw up many cards anyways, and an extra combat will just double the damage and the draw. It is way better to scale up the damage from creatures you already have rather than spamming more of them.
  • Solemn Simulacrum / Burnished Hart: too slow for too little of an effect. The deck values velocity above all, and dumping 4 / 6 mana just to ramp a bit goes directly against the narrative. Effects that reduce the costs will generate way more effective mana than those cards.
