To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
Commander Cube
The Commander Cube consists of 3 Cubes: The generals, the cards, and a land cube.
Cube is a draft format, consisting of a pre-built cube, from wich packs are created to draft. This opens up many possibilities usually not viable in a draft, while also finding a use for otherwise unused cards and saving money on packs.
This cube is specifically for the Commander format. At the end of the draft each player will have selected a general and built a 60-card deck for him/her. It's meant to be played in multiplayer (4-8), not duel commander.
The Cards-Cube
created to support 86 generals and 14 deck archetypes, this mostrosity is the heart of the commander cube. I tried my best to balance the colors, it currently contains:
166 colorless
114 of each mono color
22 of each guild
4 of each shard/wedge
4 rainbow
broken down into categories by effect it contains:
98 ways to ramp Ramp
122 sources of card advantage or filtration
31 tutors
37 recursion / reanimation
113 ways to handle a threath (single target / repeatable)
31 board wipes
20 surprise win conditions (kill one player immediatly or after untapping with this effect)
152 Threats (when not handled within 2-4 turns, you get too far ahead)
49 agressive cards
217 utility cards, like auras, equipment, combat enhancers, disruption, protection etc.
84 cards specifically supporting an archetype
46 cards supporting a specific color combination (the 3-color cards are here)
Note that many cards serve more than one purpose, so the actual numbers may be higher
The Draft
Commander-Drafts will happen in 2 Pack of 4 Cards each, for 8 Commanders total, before cards are drafted. Cards not used as Commander cards can be played in the Maindeck (wich consists of 59 cards + commander).
Color identity applies with the following exceptions: Cards using hybrid mana symbols may be played as a mono-colored identity. When using a mono-colored General, players may select a second color after the draft. Their general then becomes a mjlti-color card, using his original and the chosen color. One colored mana symbol in his cost will be replaced by the symbol corresponding to the chosen color. If the general has only 1 colored mana symbol, one colorless mana will become the chosen color (e.G Daretti, Scrap Servant may have cost of 2UR, or Grenzo, Havoc Raiser my be costing BR)
Draft will be played with 5 pack of 12 cards each, giving a total of 68 cards.
Land will be generated through the Lands Cube, usually drafted with 1 pack of 12 cards.
Aditionally, players may select one of any gate they wish to add to their deck.
Alternate draft format:
each player is dealt 10 generals face down, selecting 2 of them. The generals are put together face down, and then each player is randomly assigned 1 general. Card draft will be with 5 packs of 13 cards, to account for the smaller card pool. Lands are drafted as usual. This provieds a unique deck building challenge, as players are forced to use a "bad" commander they may not usually pick.
