Tappa Tappa Tappa- Budget Mono Blue Prison (Standard)

A mono blue deck focused on getting the most out of Verity Circle in Standard. Our game plan is pretty straightforward- we're trying to get out a Verity Circle as early as possible, then use our tricky creatures (see what I did there?) and our tap-down spells to churn through our deck and keep us drawing gas. We also have a ton of cheap card draw to set up in the early game, and we're planning to finish the game by swinging in with big (and hopefully unblocked) Tempest Djinns.

Our sideboard is kinda focused on turning us into a weird control deck- unfortunately, the plan isn't as effective against almost creatureless Teferi decks. With that in mind, we can basically remove the vast majority of our combo cards and replace them with an ass-ton of counters, some Sorcerous Spyglassses and a couple of confusing Octopuses (Octopi? Octodads?), in the hopes that we can outrace Teferi and make sure a threat sticks. Finally, we have a couple of Diamond Mares for the Red matchup, to ensure that we stay at a high enough life total to outrace their burn.
