Viendo una revisión 1. There is a more recent version of this deck.
The strategy of this deck is to quickly and efficiently flip Sasaya, Orochi Ascendant into Sasaya's Essence. When we do this, our mana base is effectively squared. This means that our 9 Forests will each tap for 9 mana, generating 81 mana.
We have many ways to ramp, as we are in green. However, the majority of these cards put lands in our hand so that we are able to flip Sasaya, Orochi Ascendant. Cards like Life from the Loam and Dryad Greenseeker are all-stars in this tactic. Additionally, we have some insane combos for once Sasaya, Orochi Ascendant flips. Magus of the Candelabra nearly doubles our already squared mana base. When we have at least six forests out, Wakeroot Elemental can just make infinate mana.
This deck is somewhat of a glass cannon. It completely relies on Sasaya, Orochi Ascendant being either out or flipped. Naturally, I have some cards in the deck that are purely there to support out strategy. Sorcerous Spyglass is one way of dealing with threats like planeswalkers or combo artifacts. Lost in the Woods and Sandwurm Convergence are green version of Propaganda and have saved me many times. The rest in this category are card draw, with the notable exception of Spellbook, which makes flipping Sasaya, Orochi Ascendant much easier.
Now, for the Pay Offs. These cards are meant to get the most value out of our squared mana base. Sands of Delirium, Genesis Hydra, and Kamahl's Druidic Vow can often simply win us the game. Wolfbriar Elemental, Ant Queen, Hydra Broodmaster, and Gelatinous Genesis can all make us an army of tokens to rush our opponents with or act as chump blockers. Support cards like Stream of Life, Tower of Fortunes, and Soul of New Phyrexia all accelerate our deck and synergise really well with Sasaya, Orochi Ascendant.
Finally we have recursion. When playing this deck, I often find that our graveyard fills up quite often either from destroyed permenents, cast spells, or simply from having to discard that 8th card. Wildest Dreams and Praetor's Counsel gives us a powerful level of card advantage late game. The Mending of Dominaria and World Shaper can return lands from the graveyard to the battlefield, making our mana base even more impressive.
This deck is really fun to play and I have been playing it for nearly a year. It is a blast when in a group of four players, but becomes very challenging to play in 1v1.
