Main Points:

  • 18 lands is low but the once upon a times act as a sudo 20 in your opening hand.

  • Very aggressive/consistent (averages turn 4-5 if not impeded).

  • Top decks very well, mulligans are eh (only because of land)

  • Good mix of aggro/protection. One track mind game 1, sideboard counter play

  • Main flex spots are darkheart and spiteful. Usually either very useful or not at all

Overall the deck is very fun and consistent. The main problems it faces are its lack of interaction game 1 against faster combo decks, and decks running heavy amounts of removal spells. Against grindy "fair" matchups or control you can usually steadily flood the board and overwhelm your opponent.

I have had a ton of fun creating/playing this deck and hope you will enjoy it too!

[Green] - Important
[Yellow] - Good overall, but not a key card
[Red] - Good in situations, but usually what is side boarded

-->Card Breakdown<--
--Creatures
[Green] Cloudshredder Sliver - Best sliver in the deck, haste for explosive plays with mana slivers/lords and flying for evasion.
[Red] Darkheart Sliver - Built in anti-burn, good for staying alive and plays well with colors. 2/2 for 2 is good for slivers, can be side boarded when not useful.
[Yellow] Galerider Sliver - Best 1 mana sliver, provides great evasion. Doesn't stack well with cloudshredder, but the 8 flying slivers is well worth as cloudshredder is usually a target for removal anyway.
[Green] Gemhide/Manaweft Sliver - Both serve the same purpose of ramp/color fixing. Can lead to very explosive turns. 2-2 split just to stop cards that have effects based on creature name (Surgical Extraction, etc.).
[Green] Predatory Sliver - Lord, main source of damage
[Yellow] Sedge Sliver - Lord + Regeneration. Biggest cause of inconsistency as it is either the best or worst creature. Requires swamps. Personally I find the good outweighs the bad in most situations.
[Green] Sinew Sliver - Same as Predatory
[Red] Spiteful Sliver - Great against any deck using creatures or burn type spells for removal. Otherwise not really useful.
[Red] The First Sliver - Personally I run this card as a finisher/get back into the game. It has the highest payoff of any card but including more than one is not fitting of the strategy of the deck.
[Yellow] Unsettled Mariner - Great for anti-removal/burn. A 2/2 for 2 is great for slivers. Mana cost is lackluster.
--Artifacts
[Green] Aether Vial - Can cheat on mana cost and ramp out creatures. Usually best turn 1 play.
--Sorcery
[Green] Collected Company - Great for keeping up board presence and finishing off games.
[Red] Once Upon a Time - Great for opening hand. Acts a sudo "20 lands" in opening hand, but can also dig for creatures. Not great mid-game, and passable late game.
--Land
Mainly rainbow which is an issue for blood moon, but the goal is to use harmonic as a counter.
[Green] Overgrown Tomb/Swamp - For sedge sliver.
--Sideboard
Collective Brutality - Burn/Storm.
Dismember - General creature hate, good mana cost for deck.
Dredgescape - For grindy matches.
Fulminator Mage - Tron/Valakut.
Ghostflame - Kinda a meme but for tron/eldrazi. (Ugin)
Harmonic - Major artifact/enchantment hate.
Sliver Hivelord - For grindy matches/lots of removal.
Surgical Extraction - Graveyard decks, works well with mana.
Unsettled Mariner - Extra protection from removal/burn.
--Notable Maybe
Diffusion Sliver - Really a personal preference versus Unsettled Mariner. I prefer the more general coverage, and 2/2.
Leeching Sliver - If you really wanna go all out on "lord" effects. Can replace Sedge to smooth out mana, though not as good of a card individually.
Striking Sliver - Decent 1 drop for creature matchups, but I prefer having a greater statistical chance at flying even if that means some potential redundancy.
Fatal Push - Dismember replacement
Syphon Sliver - Arguably just as good as spiteful in creature matchups, but again a personal preference.
Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth - If you want the extra black mana, but usually 1-2 is the most you'll ever have up so I find it kinda useless.
Mutavault - Can be good, but I find the mana already stretched as is.
