To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.

Cheap, efficient, repeatable effects.
Notable Exclusions
Furnace of Rath/Dictate of the Twin Gods: I find these too slow, or having to take a turn off to play them too risky. My preference is Quest for Pure Flame, I can play it before Purphoros and pop it when needed.
Ruby Medallion: Doesn't play nice with artifacts or 1cmc red spells.
Infinite Combos
Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker combos with Combat Celebrant, Lightning Crafter and Zealous Conscripts.
Splinter Twin combos with Combat Celebrant and Zealous Conscripts.
Dualcaster Mage combos with Twinflame and Heat Shimmer.
New THB Cards
Anax, Hardened in the Forge is the only card that intrests me from this set, though I'm sceptical. Anax is an anti board wipe card who can do alot of damage on his way out, he's also great with a sac outlet in play. That said, the floor on this card seems low, as the oppertunity cost for playing a 3 mana dude with no ETB is high. If he didn't have the "nontoken" clause he'd be an auto include, as the ceiling for this card rises significantly without this caveat (or in other words, he'd be actually broken). I'll test it and see, but I'm not holding my breath.
Update on Anax, pleased with his performance so far. Punishing boardwipes is good for this deck, as there's no resistance to it. Took Fanatic of Mogis out as I felt it was the weakest 4/5 drop in the deck, it's a bit swingy.
New IKO/C20 Cards
Not much to talk about here except for Fireflux Squad. Nice card for triggering those ETBs, the big "but" here is the swing requirement. It's not so much you have to swing with the Squad, it's more of a question of what's gonna swing with it? Cards like Shifting Shadow, Divergent Transformations and Reality Scramble do this effect without the chaos of Fireflux Squad, if you happen to rip a card like Grinning Ignus off the top with this you may be risking a powerful asset. That being said, this is a high risk high reward option that could win you some games. I just get the feeling that it's gonna be a whiff more often than a bomb.
New M21 Cards
Not much for this set either, my only consideration would be Storm Caller. On the face of it this card has a decent rate for a 3 drop, it ETB's and deals 4 damage to everyone. Sounds comparable to Thopter Engineer et al, but it doesn't leave an extra body and the multiplier from Panharmonicon isn't as good (you only do 8 damage as opposed to 12 with a Thopter Engineer). A nice option for a budget deck, but not quite there for a tuned version of Purphoros.
New JMP Cards
Last year was full of good stuff for Purphoros, this year's been a bit slack. Muxus, Goblin Grandee is a fine addition to a goblin deck, but here it feels a bit forced. Aside from the card being 6 mana, it's a definite win more option. I wouldn't bother.
