To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
This Klothys, God of Destiny deck weaves together multiple synergistic themes, each riffing on a different aspect of our commander:
1) -Enchantments Matter-
Klothys, God of Destiny is a low-costed enchantment, which allows us to benefit from enchantment synergies (almost 1/3 of the deck is composed of enchantments). Herald of the Pantheon gives us a discount on the price of all enchantments, while cards like Setessan Champion or Eidolon of Blossoms let us draw extra cards. Destiny Spinner protects our precious enchantments from counterspells and weaponizes our lands at the same time.
2) -Graveyard theme-
The graveyard theme really ties all the other themes of this deck together. Remember to fill your graveyard regularly using one-off spells (Faithless Looting, Commune with the Gods) as well as repeatable effects (Fauna Shaman, Skola Grovedancer). Cards in your graveyard can be returned to your hand using Eternal Witness or Greenwarden of Murasa, exiled to deal damage with Grim Lavamancer, or used to power Klothys’s ability.
3) -Twin Combo-
The combination of Splinter Twin or Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker with Zealous Conscripts or Hyrax Tower Scout create an infinite number of creatures, enabling us to win on the spot. You can look for the individual combo pieces using Fauna Shaman, return them from the graveyard with Eternal Witness or Greenwarden of Murasa, or stumble into them on accident using Dreamshaper Shaman. Again, Destiny Spinner protects the combo pieces from counterspells.
4) -Klothys and other punisher effects-
Once per turn, Klothys, God of Destiny uses cards in any graveyard to either provide extra mana, or punish our opponents with 2 damage. To maximize the damage output, other punisher effects, such as Cindervines, Ruric Thar, the Unbowed or Sulfuric Vortex are included. Furthermore, cards like Torbran, Thane of Red Fell, Dictate of the Twin Gods and Embermaw Hellion increase the amount of damage dealt every turn by Klothys and her friends. Snake Umbra attached to Klothys or Ruric Thar even let you draw extra cards off of the damage dealt.
Meanwhile, Arasta of the Endless Web also serves as a punisher effect of sorts, albeit not a damage-based one.
5) -Overrun your opponents-
If all else fails, assemble a large number of creatures (there are over 30 in the deck), power them up with Garruk Wildspeaker, Return of the Wildspeaker or Renata, Called to the Hunt and attack for the win.
