Horobi, Death's Wail hates creatures. She hates them to death - their death.

This is a pretty standard Horobi list with plenty of targeting effects that allow you to kill whatever creature you want dead when Horobi is on the battlefield. These targeting effects can be stapled onto creatures (Mogis's Marauder), a land (Urborg), or a spell (Touch of Darkness). Afraid of Horobi dying? Get Endless Whispers into play, and her global ability won’t leave the battlefield.

But betting only on Horobi surviving in play is a little too risky. The deck usually wins without Horobi through leveraging recursion engines like Chainer, Dementia Master and sac outlets like Phyrexian Altar and Yahenni, Undying Partisan into card advantage and board presence. Once the board is stable and a player or two have lost, you win via recurring Kokusho, the Evening Star and Gray Merchant of Asphodel.

The deck can get obscene amounts of mana using Cabal Coffers, Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, Cabal Stronghold, Extraplanar Lens, Crypt Ghast or Nyx Lotus. Put that mana into mana sinks like Syr Konrad, the Grim, Erebos, God of the Dead or Strands of Night to overwhelm your opponents in card advantage.

The deck has a moderate amount of tutors to allow you to put together the card advantage and mana engines you need, although no infinite combos are included.

Tips:
1) Always keep an eye out for reanimation targets in opponents' graveyards.
2) Leave Scour from Existence for enchantment and artifact removal.
3) Be upfront with lands that target to avoid feelbads.
4) Remember triggers from opponents' creatures dying.
5) Crystal Chimes is secretly one of the best cards in the deck, since it also recurs reanimation spells like Animate Dead and Necromancy.
