To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
The name of the game with this deck is to get recurring land drops and to go for the infinite landfall combos to attain victory by either: 1.) milling your opponents out with Ruin Crab; 2.) flooding the board with tokens created by Omnath, Locus of Rage, Emeria Angel, or Scute Swarm and then swinging in with Craterhoof Behemoth; 3.) beat an opponent down with infinite combat turns using Moruag, Fury of Akoum; create an army of infinitely-large plants using Avenger of Zendikar; or 5.) burn your enemies to death with Tunneling Geopede.
If you're not able to get any of these engines set up, Omnath, Locus of Creation's tree triggers can also be used infinitely with the help of Deadeye Navigator (to bounce Omnath and reset the trigger) while using one of the infinite land-drop combos seen below. As long as your opponents haven't gained a dirt amount of life, Omnath's third landfall ability should be able to burn them all to death before you draw yourself out using its ETB.
Infinite Landfall: In order to get our infinite landfall online, we'll need to focus on two aspects - the engines to make our landfalls infinite & the actual lands we'll be utilizing. We'll start with the engines we're going to need its centerpiece: Retreat to Coralhelm. This enchantment allows us to tap or untap target creature whenever a land enters the battlefield under our control; for our purposes, we'll be using this ability to untap one of two creatures: Budoka Gardener (provided we have 9 or fewer lands maximum) or Ruin Ghost. If you're using Budoka Gardener, you'll want to use his ability with either Ghost Town or two bounce lands.
Boduka Gardener Combo: Ghost Town can be used effectively on your opponents' turns by paying 0 to put it back into your hand, playing it with Budoka Gardener's ability, using the landfall to trigger Retreat to Coralhelm and then repeating. This can be used to trigger any of the infinte combos linked above, or Omnath's infinitely if you have it linked to Deadeye Navigator. The same can be done with bounce lands as long as you have two of them and use one bounce land to bounce the other bounce land back to your hand.
Ruin Ghost Combo: Ruin ghost can do this effectively as long as you use a land that can come in untapped and produce white mana (i.e. Plains, Command Tower, etc.) The steps then are the same as they'd be for Boduka Gardener, but you can use this combo even if you have 10 or more lands!
Even without the infinite combos, the deck has ways of doubling landfall triggers or the cards that have those triggers with the help of Ashaya, Panharmonicon, and Lithoform Engine.
Play around and have fun with the deck and the many ways it can use its lands to terrorize your opponents! I know I will :) Any comments or suggestions for improving the deck are always welcome!
