Vortex stops the lifegain of Jitte and Batterskull. Smash kills them (and Aether Vial). End the festivities kills Mother of Runes and Thalia.

> 8Cast / Mono Blue Artifacts (matchup difficulty: Hard)

IN: 1x Roiling Vortex, 4x Smash to Smithereens, 1x Meltdown
OUT: 2x Exquisite Firecraft, 2x Light up the Stage, 1x Lava Spike

Vortex deals a bunch of damage when casting Baubles, Force of Will and Force of Negation. It can also stop lifegain from Shadowspear, which totally wrecks us. Smash and Meltdown are self-explanatory. Eidolon is a bit too

> Reanimator (matchup difficulty: Almost unwinnable)

IN: 2x Tormod's Crypt / Faerie Macabre / Surgical Extraction
OUT: 2X Exquisite firecraft

This matchup we usually just lose. You can run 4x Leyline of the Void in the sideboard and mulligan hard for it, but I prefer to lose this matchup when I meet it and have more free slots. Once I lost to Reanimator on the play with 2x Surgical extraction in my opening hand, so you can see how bad this is.

> Elves (matchup difficulty: 50/50)

IN: 2x End the festivities, 1x Pyrostatic Pillar
OUT: 2x Exquisite firecraft, 1x Roiling vortex

Pretty self-explanatory. Eidolon can hurt them a lot. Pillar is a 5th Eidolon.

> Doomsday (matchup difficulty: 50/50)

IN: 1x Roiling Vortex, 1x Pyroblast
OUT: 2x Exquisite Firecraft

Just wait for them to cast Doomsday before firing off your burn spells.

> Azorius / Jeskai control (matchup difficulty: favorable)

IN: 1x Exquisite Firecraft
OUT: 1x Roiling Vortex

It's favorable for us. Just be fast and kill them.

> Goblins (matchup difficulty: 50/50)

IN: 2x End the festivities, 1x Smash to Smithereens
OUT: 2x Exquisite firecraft, 1x Roiling vortex

Smash to smithereens kills Aether Vial. Who goes first wins. Removing an early Goblin Lackey can be necessary, since they can drop Muxxus, Goblin Grandee or similar.

> UR Delver (matchup difficulty: slightly favorable, close to 50/50)

IN: 2x Pyroblast, 1x Red Elemental Blast, 1x Pyrostatic Pillar
OUT: 2x Light up the Stage, 1x Roiling Vortex, 1x Price of Progress

If you see them fetch for basics, they're onto you: you can take out another Price of Progress and leave a light up the stage. You can also add the 3rd Exquisite Firecraft since it really hurts them. The Blasts are there to kill Murktide Regent, which is an insurmountable clock for us.

> Moon Stompy (matchup difficulty: very hard pre-side, ok afterwards)

IN: 4x Smash to Smithereens
OUT: 1x Roiling Vortex, 2x Exquisite Firecraft, 1x Light up the Stage

We need Smash to kill Chalice of the Void / Trinisphere. If we can deal with these early, we can win.
