To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!

(-> Your Settings)

Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.

Sydri, Urza, Breya and even Saheeli were all contenders to helm my artifact deck. Urza is too staxy, bleh. Sorry mate, love the lore but you're a dick. Breya is pretty cool but another player in my group has one, and Saheeli... to be honest she didn't impress me that much and I already have another izzet deck.

Sydri it is then. For starters, she's very original. Unlike Breya that pretty much reads "fetch my skullclamp and blink to win the game", Sydri actually needs some effort to pull off.

There is a bunch of fun artifact combos to assemble, some not so obvious. The cool part about piloting this deck is the feel of building a doomsday machine from different parts. Use your imagination.

No, really.

Techs:

With one of the many infinite mana combos available:

  • Sydri, voltaic and anything that taps for 3
  • altar / kci with sharuum + clone
  • altar + deathmantle with urza or marionette
  • architect + pilipala

You can fuel a whole bunch of shit:

Be creative. Use some as bait, prepare your boardstate then assemble something that no one saw coming. The deck is not short on tutors and recursion.

BUT. The cherry on the cake is to turn the Reservoir into a creature (IMAGINE A MURDEROUS SENTIENT WATER TOWER), give it lifelink and death-star laser your opponents away. Honestly, that thing is just too fun if you manage to pull off!

I'm always on the lookout for new artifact interactions. With the imminent Brother's Wars and the ever closer return to my glorious Phyrexia, I'm sure this deck has a brilliant future ahead.
