Mirko Vosk and the 40 Thieves (EDH / Commander)

This deck is a psuedo-voltron mill deck that tries to mill and steal resources from opponents using on combat damage to player triggers.

It doesn't always intend to fully mill out opponents because doing so even with double strike would take far too long. The deck instead runs a minimum amount of mill in order to mill 30-40 cards from each player turning on 1 hit KO cards like [[Consuming Aberation]] and [[Guiltfeeder]]. This is also a good critical mass of cards to guarantee that cards like [[Wrexial, the Risen Deep]] and [[Ink-Eyes Servant of Oni]] will have good targets.

The pattern of play for this deck is to play a good 3 drop mini-voltron like [[Thief of Sanity]] or [[Thada Adel, Acquisitor]] and use those to accrue value in the early game. Once they waste removal on the value engine, you can play mirko and starting hitting them hard. Finally, as above, you play some finishers and go for the kill. This way your doubly slow mill and voltron strategy is working at the enemy for the whole game and you never have to play a 9 mana Mirko when he's barely worth it at 7.

People will focus you just for playing mill so keep that in mind. This is probably my favorite deck because of how unique it is even if it doesn't always win.
