To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
This deck is a full sprint early game while everyone else is just getting warmed up.
It can kill a player turn 3 a couple different ways but expect to knock the first player out turn 4-6. Doran has a super strong early game. While others are ramping and amassing resources you are hitting for respectable chunks of damage. Often killing players who cant respond quick enough, or forcing players to play sub optimally to stay in the game.
A Doran and friends are scary early but will struggle to compete with control, combo, and value generating strategies once they get set up. To combat this, much of the deck is dedicated to slowing our opponents down. The longer we can keep the board clear, the longer we have to get in crucial damage.
7 mostly one sided board wipes keep a clear path and prevent others from overpassing us.
Meekstone with Blind Obedience, and Authority of the Consuls stop emergency blockers, again, letting us get as many hits in as we can. Not to mention Meekstone has little effect to our board.
Lastly we have a suite of neat toughness combat tricks that come out of nowhere, turning our smallest of creatures into sizable chunks of damage. A well timed Tower Defense or Solidarity will end games outright.
Infect is godsend in this deck, getting to 10 toughness is very easy in this deck. There are several interactions that make for quick leathal damage. My favorite is Spinebiter wearing Slagwurm Armor.
This is a super fun deck to pilot right out the gate. Targeting down control and combo players first is your best bet. If you can keep the momentum after that it makes for a quick game. Which means more time for another round. Do yourself the favor try Doran!
