Really fun ramp-heavy deck focused around multiplying ETB effects. Multiple flickers, graveyard return, as well as Panharmonicon and Strionic Resonator, help retrigger ETBs. Big ramp calls for big card draw, which is provided by Rhystic Study, Recurring Insight, and Sire of Stagnation, as well as Mulldrifter and Tatyova, Benthic Druid to a lesser extent. Defense of the Heart and the other cost reduction cards allow for huge creatures such as It That Betrays and Kozilek, the Great Distortion to be played earlier than usual, or even on the same turn. Cyclonic Rift and In Garruk's Wake give ways to clear other boards without sacrificing your own, while Fog and Polymorphist's Jest provide solid defense. One of the biggest swings in the deck is God-Eternal Rhonas, especially if paired with Yarok and/or Panharmonicon, or even a flicker. Imagine if you cast Desolation twin the turn before, then cast God-Eternal Rhonas with both Yarok and Panharmonicon on the field, then Ghostly Flicker Rhonas. Desolation Twin gives you two 10/10 creatures when cast, but after that combo, you would be left with two 640/640 creatures with vigilance, as Rhonas' ability would trigger 6 times. Theft cards are versatile, and can even serve as commander pacification if need be (and if you don't mind being salty). There are also a few cards included specifically to deal with powerful generals (one guy in my playgroup has a solid Animar deck, and neutralizing Animar early is the only way to see turn 5). There are quite a few ramp cards in this deck, and while they're all good cards on their own, if combined with Yarok, the ramp is really something to behold. This is especially nice if you happen to draw Torment of Hailfire, and can be a game-ender for more than one opponent if it resolves.
