To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
Credit goes to Potato Chop's original standard deck: "Time to Break the Standard Meta (Massacre Wurm Golgari Control)." Love a standard deck that is not milling, +1/+1 counters, or cleric healing which I find endlessly dull.
This is my twist on that deck. Personally I do not like that Kaervek destroys our own mana ramp pieces. Skull Prophet is also useful as pressure! Instead of Kaervek to combo with Clackbridge Troll, this deck uses Suffocating Fumes. Early pressure comes from the combination of Inscription of Ruin and Archfiend's Vessel to force removal use, rather than on what will be coming with Clackbridge Troll, Massacre Wurm, and Suffocating Fumes. Plus, if you have the mana out, Massacre Wurm + Suffocating fumes in one turn will quite readily wipe most fields in the small creature meta. Malakir Rebirth can keep your Wurms and Trolls alive, triggering their abilities again, or can pop Archfiend's Vessel into a nice 5/5 Demon.
Inscription of Abundance is included to provide a later game threat. Arasta of the Endless Web provides some reach and a potential shield against spell heavy decks. Temple of Malady can be used to get needed land or creatures. Murderous Rider/Swift End provides removal.
Sideboard includes Cragplate Baloth for bigger late game pressure, Barrier Breach, Broken Wings, and Eat to Extinction for permanent/enchantment/artifact removal, Shadowspear if you're facing lots of shroud/hexproof/indestructible and Back For More for late game returns of your monstrous creatures.
