(This is my reasoning around this deck. Keep in mind I have yet to actually play it. It is intended to be played as a Duel with the Mono Blue Kraken in the same folder)

This is a fast aggro ramping deck. General strategy is to pile on the one drops and wait for the Captain, get the big guns back from the graveyard and keep pummeling face

Opening Hand
If you have at least an island and a mountain to start you're likely good and don't need to mulligan. There should be plenty of lands coming for you. Everything else is what you get is what you get, try to survive until you've got your crew together. Take pot shots and attack when you can hit your opponent.

Land Strategy
Consider the black spells stolen bootie from another deck. There are no Basic Swamps in this deck and casting the black spells requires Treasure Tokens. There's plenty of ways to get the Tokens. Pirate's Pillage, Pirate's Prize and a couple lands in Unknown Shores

Creature Strategy
Most of your Pirates are one or two drops so they roll out quick. Of the part Black Pirates Dire Fleet Captain is great, but Fathom Fleet Captain is good too. Even if you only get a little buff on them it's okay to swap with bigger creatures from your opponent. You've got March of the Drowned coming up, which you should wait for the full two Pirates to be in your graveyard before using them.

Spell Strategy
March of the Drowned and Reckless Charge are necessary, never discard them. You might be able to squeak by with only access to Pirate's Pillage or Pirate's Prize.

Win Strategy
Plow through your opponent's creatures with a couple big guys and their supporting crew.
