Pauper EDH is an alternative format that uses any uncommon creature as the commander, and the 99 are commons. Technically this deck is EDH legal too!

This deck features two partners from the upcoming Commander Legends set: Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator and Breeches, Brazen Plunderer.

Malcolm is a very potent commander and the deck means to use his ability to combo in a few possible ways:

With malcolm on the board you need a source of damage, an untapper, and for it to be a pirate.
Damage dealers: Brimstone Trebuchet / Razorfin Hunter / Viridian Longbow / Reckless Fireweaver (doesn't need an untapper)
Untappers: Freed from the Real, Horseshoe Crab, Soliton
Pirates: There's malcolm himself, plenty of pirates in the deck and Runed Stalactite / Amorphous Axe to make for example Reckless Fireweaver a pirate.

To supplement the combo we run a lot of draw, tutors & cycle, creature & artifact removal and a bit of ramp. Also two pieces of artifact recursion in case Viridian Longbow or another combo piece is removed.

We also run Whispersilk Cloak, Neurok Stealthsuit and Mage's Guile (can be cycled), to protect the combo.

Notable interactions are the transmute spells that can tutor for most of the combo pieces, Trinket Mage that can either grab a combo piece or an artifact land.

I omitted Rhystic Study and Mystic Remora, feel free to include them.

Weaknesses of the deck would be the many moving parts of the combo (though there's a fair bit of redundancy), unreliable removal and not a ton of board presence.

If you have any thoughts or suggestions, please let me know!
